Finalist for POD Innovation Award: To raise awareness about assessment for learning and the importance of varied assessments to support educational equity for diverse student populations, we surveyed students: What's an assignment that really helped you learn? How did it help you learn? Drawing on students' responses, we enhanced a collection of assessment strategies from our university's instructors ( The collection is timely at a moment when instructors are seeking assessment alternatives. Instructors named in the survey received recognition emails.
